Conversations

This piece started as a collage of different papers with a layer of acrylic paint added to which oil & coldwax was used to augment the coloration and preserve the hand-drawn aspects. In between the layers, areas where scraped back, enhanced by drawing with pigments to bring out aspects of an evolving language. The end result was a sense of this painting being in conversation with its self and became a significant turning point in my work. Completed during the first Covid lockdown in tandem with Between Chaos & Calm.
